Gaurav started studying the piano at the age of four, picking up the violin and the Tabla (an Indian percussion instrument) along the way, which has resulted in a lifelong passion for music. Upon meeting Jennifer (President & Artistic Director of TPMS) and learning about the school, he was eager to find another avenue to engage with music and other music enthusiasts, including students. Gaurav graduated from Northwestern University and is currently a consultant at Bain & Company.
Jay previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of TPMS and is excited to be reconnecting with the school. He looks forward to working directly with SLAM students through Friends of TPMS. A lifelong amateur cellist, Jay continues to enjoy broadening his musical horizons through the exploration of new instruments – including bass guitar, guitar and, most recently, mandocello. Jay is the General Counsel and Chief Administrative Officer of FPL Advisory Group and was formerly a partner in the Real Estate Department of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. He received a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, an A.B. in Economics from Harvard University and attended St. Ignatius College Prep here in Chicago.
