The People's Music School - Treble Clef

For many children, music education can make a transformative difference.

Research shows that a high-quality music education leads to higher graduation rates, higher salaries, lower crime rates, higher voting and volunteer rates — and more.

But for most families, music education is a luxury they can’t afford.

We work to ensure that every child can access the benefits of a high-quality music education, no matter their socioeconomic background. We are 100% tuition-free, 100% underserved, 90%+ students of color, and boast a 100% high school graduation and college enrollment rate.

"[My mom] needed a safe space where I could go while she was at work.

I dream about a young musician seeking this one goal: to bring my family to the position where no one can cause us any harm."

"My parents came to this country in search of a better opportunity for my family. My schedule can be stressful. But music is not a stress - it is a relief."

- People's student Phuong, Age 16, Piano
