Deborah Wanderley Dos Santos Wins Another Award
The founder of the YOURS Project and music instructor, Deborah Wanderley Dos Santos was awarded the YouthActionNet (YAN) Global Fellowship for 2010. Dos Santos was selected as one of 20 recipients from a pool of nearly 800 applicants, joining an esteemed group of 160 young social entrepreneurs from more than 55 countries who have been YouthActionNet® Fellows in the last 9 years. YAN function as as part of the International Youth Foundation and the following is an excerpt from IYF president William S. Reese's letter to dos Santos: "Each of you emerged as finalists based on your innovative approaches, your impressive track records, and your potential to deepen and expand your work in the future. You have much to be proud of."
The YAN Fellowship follows one month after being named one of five 2010 Hildegard Behrens Young Artists.
