People's Music School Receives Top Grant from the Sun Shine Project

We have the great privilege of sharing some very happy news: we just got word that the People’s Music School has been awarded a sizeable grant from the Sun Shine Project of the Chicago Sun-Times.
This unique award was based on both program merit and "popularity" (feedback from the community). The program merit was evaluated through a traditional grant application and the feedback by the number of people who voted for us and the number and quality of comments we got.
Despite competing against organizations much larger than us, we finished in first place in our category with 518 votes and received many glowing comments about our work.
